SOME HAVE CROSSED THE BAR

We were born and raised on Chincoteague among a people - proud and free until one day we three were called to fight a war - far across the sea.
We knew we had to defend our land so that freedom would always be thank god we stayed together Richard, Archie and Me.
When World War Two was over some stayed on to fight again the Korean War and Viet Nam were wars we could not win.
Time seems to erase old memories two of the Vets have crossed the bar they will rest in peace forever in a land that knows no war.
